Adair Police Department has installed new school zone speed limit signs along campus roads. The school zone will be effective from 7:45 am until 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, as long as students are present on Adair Public Schools campus. This will exclude any holidays or times that students are not present. The new school zone signs state, “ School, Speed limit 20mph while children are present.” With this new change, officers will have some leniency for the first few days of school to let everyone learn the new process, but citations will be issued after that time, and fines will be doubled due to it being a school zone. There will be no tolerance, because student safety is key.

Make sure to check out the diagrams below outlining the new-drop off and pickup routes! We are in the third and final phase of our bond project, creating construction sites in many of our normally high traffic areas. In order to accommodate both construction and traffic flow, we have created new locations and routes for drop-off and pickup locations. We look forward to starting the academic year!

AS we approach the beginning of school, we would like to remind all Middle School parents and students that backpacks should only be used for athletic gear and activities. Backpacks are not to be carried during the school day at the Middle School. If a student wishes to have some sort of bag to carry their school supplies, chromebook, etc, they will need to use a Zip tab binder. We highly recommend that the binder has a padded pocket to securely hold and protect their chromebook from damage. We look forward to a great 2025-26 school year!

All students participating in extracurricular activities at Adair High School are required to complete a mandatory drug test before participation.
Testing Date: Wednesday, August 6th
Cost: $20
Location: Adair High School
Make-up testing will be available at a later date for $30.
Please plan to attend on August 6th to avoid the additional cost. Thank you for helping us keep our school and students safe and accountable.

As we prepare for the beginning of a new school year, stay tuned to the Adair Public Schools Facebook page and APS website for updates and details covering all back to school events and information!
All students who participate in 6th-12th grade athletics and 8th-12th grade band are required to have an annual physical on file before they are allowed to participate each school year. This includes practices. Physical must be filled out on the OSSAA Physical Examination and Parental Consent form. Please turn in all physical forms to your respective site office. The 2025 Physical Form can be found on the OSSAA website.
All HIGH SCHOOL students participating in any extracurricular activity must complete a drug screening test on August 6th at 9:00am in the High School Commons Area. (High school students only)

Introducing the Adair Schools Teacher of the Year -- Mrs. Dawn Bradbury
Mrs. Bradbury has been with our district for 27 years and is currently an 8th Grade teacher! Mrs. Bradbury is staple in our middle school. When asked his thoughts on Bradbury achieving this award, Middle School Principal Dale Wicks said this, "When it comes to great teachers, I know "it" when I see it. Mrs. Bradbury has "it"! Whether driving a bus, teaching a class, or serving as a sponsor, Mrs. Bradbury is what we like to call, an ARROW!"
