BHE Pumpkin Patch pt. 2
Senior art student, Sara Kirk, won first place at the Tulsa State Fair for her graphite drawing of the Pensacola Dam and her watercolor painting of the Will Rogers Museum.
The theme was "Our Stories Through Art." She had to choose a pivotal moment in her local community's history that reflects the broader 250- year American journey and illustrate it. Good work Sara!

A hands-on look at physics in the real world! Representatives from Trece recently dropped by our Physical Science classes to show students how assembly lines operate. They shared how attention to detail and passing quality control inspections are critical for any business, and even walked through real-life statistics to show how teamwork drives daily productivity. Big thanks to Trece for coming out and bringing science to life for our kids!

District 9 Councilor Clifton Hughes last week made contributions to the Adair Public Schools to help support Health and Wellness projects.
Saturday, October 3, 11 HS and JH choir members traveled to Owassa to audition for the NCDA HS and JH All-District Choir.
The following students made the NCDA All-District Choir: Sarah Kirk (HS Choir), Isabella Wofford (JH Choir).
Sara Kirk will be honored for making the NCDA All-District Choir all 6 years.
Haskell Band Contest
The band delivered a clean sweep at Haskell, bringing home 1st place in percussion, color guard, and overall in our class against four other competing schools.
Vinita Band Contest
Our performers dominated the field at Vinita by securing 1st place in guard, percussion, and class before capturing the Grand Champion title for the entire contest.

The Commercial Cattle Grading CDE is one of the most-participated contests in Oklahoma FFA. Nearly 950 FFA contestants entered the contest for their chance to bring home the gold.

In Mrs. Carolyn Johnson's class, students compared and contrasted characters from their weekly story using hula hoops as their Venn diagrams!
In Mrs. Murray's Pre-K class, students have been learning all about the letter "A". These students were able to investigate a unique specimen for the letter "A", an alligator!

Fifth graders recently had the opportunity to write heartfelt, friendly letters to veterans who will fly to Washington, D.C., on a Freedom Flight, where veterans visit memorials and monuments built in honor of their military service.
As students wrote, they discussed what freedom means, the sacrifices our veterans have made, and the importance of taking time to recognize those who have served our country.
Students are learning not only how to use written expression, but also how to show gratitude, respect, kindness, and appreciation for others.
